The Doctor's Review of Hamtaro (Dub)

Music [8/10]: The Hamtaro music is catchy, bouncy, and alot of fun to sing along with... *cough* What? You have never liked a children's song before? All of the songs are like this. They give the series and air of cuteness, like it needed any more 'cuteness'. Lol. Good songs, fun to listen to and even more fun to drive people crazy with!

Plot [8/10]: A good simple plotline is the bases of this series. Cute little Hamsters explore the world and learn alot of new things while making new friends. Normally that would get on my nerves after a while, but this series pulls it off without being agonizing. I really enjoyed all the HamChat words. What a good idea, to give hamsters their own little language.

Characters [9/10]: These are not deep characters. They are really loveable and cute little creatures with their own personality traits that you grow to love. Like, Cappy always wears a hat and loves all hats. While Snoozer sleeps all day every day. You love them all!

Animation [10/10]: The animation is cute and very well drawn. Some children's series sqiemp of the animation since its just for kids, but not Hamtaro. All the the characters are well drawn and adorable.

Likability [9/10]: I loved this series! I know some people are going to become very irrate with my an this anime rates higher than Evangelion and Trigun, but the main difference is that this is not a dark anime. Anime's that are too dark and depressing are no fun to watch. Hamtaro is tons of fun because there is no darkness in it and I personally find it very funny. Expecally when you whip out the HamChat words when some idiot is trying to annoy you on aim. Bothers them no end! This is a great, highly underrated anime, with a very unique storyline! A must watch.

Sailor X's Review of Hamtaro (Dub)

Music [ 8/10]: I can't help it, I like those catchy tunes. The opening and the ending theme in the Hamtaro dub are surprisingly endurable, and in fact lovable. I didn't notice the background music standing out or seeming awkward so I think it fit in the series quite well.

Plot [9/10]: The plot is simple enough but it is pretty unique. Many anime tend to focus on human characters with a few talking animals scattered in but Hamtaro mixes it up with a cast of mostly Hamsters. It's episodes are usually self contained plots and there is no greater connection to them all. I think it's refreshing for once to just watch a fun series which Hamtaro is.

Characters [8/10]: The characters aren't deep by any means, except maybe Jingle, but they are highly likable. Their varying personalties are allowed to play off of one another.

Animation [10/10]: For it's target age I think the animation is remarkable.

Likability [10/10]: I know I'll face a ton of opposition here but I like Hamtaro. It's just a fun series, you never know what those hamsters will get into next! Sometimes I just want a series to be entertaining and not trying to convey some deeper meaning. If I was reviewing the sub version of this series I'm not sure I would like it as much. I have seen part of the series in Japanese and many of the voices were kind of earsplitting. It's still cute however, so I'll withhold judgement until I see more of it. Loosen up, enjoy the hamsters XD. Bada Bada
