The Doctor's Review of Inu Yasha
Music [10/10]: Inu Yasha is one of the lucky few anime's where most of the music is well done. The openings and endings are performed by well known Japanese artists. Which raises the quality of music tremendously. Besides I love Hamasaki Ayumi's music already, so hearing her singing Inu Yasha themes was a very pleasent surprise. The background music was also very nice. In fact this is one of the few anime's that I actually have several background music CDs for. For music, Inu Yasha gets an A.
Plot [10/10]: I found the plot to be engaging and very unique. I loved the ideal that a young girl is a reincarnation of a deceased Shinto Priestess who was killed, appartently, by her half demon boyfriend Inu Yasha. The girl, Kagome, then accidently shatters a very powerful crystal and has to go gather all of the shards with Inu Yasha. They met many interesting people along the way and fight many demons. I love all of the Japanese symbolism the series displays.
Characters [10/10]: All of the characters were well potrayed. By watching the series you can clearily learn the motives all of the main characters. You see what had happened to them in the past and you learn why they each wish to destroy Naraku. Even with the main villian, you learn what kind of trickster he likes to be. The series doesn't have only good and bad characters either. It has people like Sesshoumaru whose not totally evil since he does take care of a small girl named Rin, but clearly does have an evil side. In fact, you can see the good and evil sides of most of the characters. That is surely the mark of well thought out and very well developed characters.
Animation [10/10]: The animation style was amazing. I love the combination of cell and computer graphics. I was worried when they switched to being totally cgi, as I was afraid that might affect the quality of the animation for the worse. But it didn't! The Shikon no tama sparkled with almost heavenly light, the demons swarmed in massive numbers, and the characters were perfectly animated. It was all very well done.
Likability [10/10]: This is another of my all time favorite animes! It has a little of everything: humor, action, angst, and love interests. I loved all of the characters, even the bad guys. I felt for all of them. The plot moves along quickly, it gets a little repetitive in some parts, but just as you think that some different happens. I highly recommend this anime to all as it seems to have something for everyone!

Sailor
X's Review
of Inu Yasha
Music [ 10/10]: Inu Yasha has some of the best collections of music. The background music is not only effective in enhancing the feel of the various scenes but it's also highly enjoyable to listen to outside of the series. Most of the openings and endngs are equally enjoyable with artists such as V6, Nanase Aikawa, Do As Infinity, Ayumi Hamasaki, Dream, Hitomi, and Tackey and Tsubasa. I was familiar with some of the artists before watching the series so they were a more than welcome surprise.
Plot [10/10]: The plot begins fairly simple but grows with time as you learn more about the individual characters and their pasts. This build up is gradual and fascinating. Plus there's something in it for everyone. Magic, Action, Comedy, Drama, and even some Romance.
Characters [10/10]: I like most of the characters in this series and the character development is excellent within this series. You can really gain a sense of who all the characters really are. This enhances the entertainment value of the series.
Animation [10/10]: I have no complaints about the animation in Inu Yasha. It is excellent.
Likability [10/10]: Inu Yasha is one of my favorite series. It's a truly fantastic anime with just the right doses of comdey, drama, and action. It's many colorful characters are easy to relate to and in turn you care about what happens to them. Plus the music is superb. I'm not sure it can get much better than Inu Yasha.
