The Doctor's Review of Magic Knight Rayearth
Music [9/10]: This series had good music and it tended to be really well timed. The sad music played when sad events were occuring and the happy when the rare happy occasion happened along. However, there were a few dull moments when some music could have helped fend off the boredom.
Plot [9/10]: The plot was excelent! It made you feel for the girls when they were spirited away from their home in Tokyo and you just knew that they were fighting the 'bad guys' the entire time. Well, come to find out that isn't nessacarily the case. Brilliant plot twist! It was a bit too depressing for my tastes, but over all it was a great series.
Characters [10/10]: The character development was excelent as well. As I said before, it made you feel for the girls when they were spirited away from their home in Tokyo. They were lost, scared, but determined to get home. Each character in the series definitly had their own personality. They weren't just carbon copies of the same character style over and over. Loved the characters!
Animation [10/10]: The animation style was also very well done. The Clamp style large eyes, really worked with the characters making them seem that much more expressive. The battle scenes were very well done, they were not just thrown together at the last minute and drawn really shotily. I give Rayearth a 10/10 for animation style.
Likability [9/10]: I loved this series! Though I do admit that this first season was more depressing than I usually like an anime to be, it grew on me. By the end of the season I was hooked. I love the characters, the plot kept you on the edge of your seat, and the music will get stuck in your head for all eternity.

Sailor
X's Review
of Magic Knight Rayearth
Music [ 10/10]: This is one of few series where I do enjoy listening to the background music outside of the series. The music is effective and well done. Most of the opening and ending themes are equally enjoyable. I liked the themes in both English and Japanese. Though I do prefer Naomi Tamura's versions a bit more.
Plot [10/10]: Rayearth gets kudos for having an interesting plot. Three girls are summoned to a strange world where they must become the legendary Magic Knights and save that world. There were times when I found the episodes too sad but it's still a terrific story.
Characters [10/10]: This series has a wonderful cast of characters. They each have varying personalities and add color to the show. I can't think of one character I didn't like.
Animation [10/10]: The style in this anime is fantastic and easily recognizable. I can't think of another series with such a distinct style.
Likability [10/10]: This is another one of my favorite series. The combination of lovable characters, exceptional music, a beautiful animation style, and an interesting plot made it impossible not to love this series.
