The Doctor's Review of Mahou Tsukai Tai OVA

Music [7/10]: "Senobi wo Shite Follow You" by Mahou Tsukai Tai is a great song! It is also the opening theme. I great choice, very bouncy. All of the background music is great.

Plot [10/10]: The plot was a perfect blend of magic and scifi. An undefeatable alien spacecraft lands in the middle of the ocean. It sends out probe now and then but for the most part, it leaves humanity alone. Until, that is... the Magic User's Club attracts its attension. Magic it appears is the aliens only weakness. Not only was this a unique storyline, but this anime was also hillarious! The jokes never stopped coming. Great anime!

Characters [10/10]: All of the characters were likable and fun to watch. Sae was an adorable little klutz with a big heart and a love for magic. By far the cutest character in the series. Nanaka (Sae's protective best friend) and Akane (the self centered model) really rounded out the cast. The interplay between Aburatsubo and the object of his affection Takakura, was hillarious! The whole one sided gay love thing was just priceless. I laughed until I cried, something that does not occur very often at all.

Animation [10/10]: The animation style was very bright and very colorful. The animation was clean and fluid. Great style!

Likability [10/10]: I loved this series!! This is the funnest thing you will ever see! A must watch!!

Sailor X's Review of Mahou Tsukai Tai OVA

Music [ 10/10]: It took a while for me to warm up to the ending theme but I loved the opening theme right from the start. The background music fit for the series but wasn't worth listening to outside of the series.

Plot [10/10]: I wasn't sure how I felt about the plot in the beginning. Mixing Magic and Scifi can be dicey. This Ova pulled it off though in a stunning display of comedical antics. This series mostly focuses around humor and that's what's so good about it!

Characters [10/10]: The characters were all unique in their own ways and were able to easily play off of one another. Clutzy, forgetful, and sometimes emotional Sae was a perfect lead heroine. Her determination to learn magic was touching in it's own way but her comidical contributions were far superior. Takeo's attempts at showing off for the female club members also led to many a good laugh as well as the unwelcome advances of Aburatsubo. They were all such colorful characters.

Animation [10/10]: I couldn't find anything to complain about about the animation. It was very nice.

Likability [10/10]: This is probably my favorite OVA ever. It kept me laughing most of the time without sacrificing plot or animation style. It feels longer than the few episodes it turned out to be but don't let the size fool you, it's a terrific series.
