Sailor
X's Review
of Sailor Moon R Part 1
Music [ 10/10]: The music continued to be as effective as the first season. Additions such as "Moon Revenge" and "Ai No Senshi" were nice touches to this seasons Cds.
Plot [8/10]: The Sailor Senshi have all lost their memories of season one but a new threat comes to the Earth. Luna is forced to awaken Sailor Moon once again. In the beginning she works on her own but in no time the other Senshi are awakened. They get new attacks this season and Usagi gets a new brooch and wand. Sounds good so far but I found the villians lacking a bit. Ail and Ann, aka Ann and Alan, were cute but not good villians. The Tsukikage no Knight, also known as the Moonlight Knight, was a stupid addition in my opinion. Well Mamoru just has to help out somehow so this representation of him decides to dress for desert conditions. It's truly very odd and not necessary.
Characters [10/10]: The characters are still the same lovable bunch with the two 'villians' as additions. There wasn't anyone I didn't like in this season except Mamoru but I never fully liked him in the first place.
Animation [10/10]: The animation seems no different than season one.
Likability [9/10]: Even with the less exciting plot it's still likable. The latest senshi attacks aren't too different from the first ones but they're a nice addition anyway. The first arc of Sailor Moon R is more of a ministory but if you're a Sailor Moon fan it's good for a watch.
