Sailor X's Review of Sailor Moon S

Music [ 10/10]: It's the same music you'd expect to hear in the Sailor Moon series.

Plot [5/10]: By this time the Sailor Moon series is feeling really repetitive. I somewhat liked the idea of searching for the Talismans and the Grail but the Grail really serves no purpose after the series. It makes you wonder what the big deal was about this grail which is so easily removed from the plot later. It was nice to finally bring in all the remaining senshi but Hotaru gets to do very little. So, the plot was decent but nothing earth shattering.

Characters [10/10]: A new season and another chance to add new characters to the series. Sailor Pluto gets to return and make more appearances than she was allowed in Sailor Moon R and now Haruka, Michiru, and Hotaru join her. The new characters are interesting and help hold your interest.

Animation [10/10]: It's amazing but the animation still hasn't lost a step.

Likability [9/10]: The problem with this series was the Deathbusters weren't able to hold my interest. I was watching it for the new Sailor Senshi so the villians gave the appearence of being too weak outshined by the rest of the character cast. I didn't like how little Hotaru got to do either. There wasn't any suspense because you pretty much knew who had the talismans and who Sailor Saturn was long before the characters did. It gets high likability marks mostly because I'm already a hooked Sailor Moon fan and I wanted to see the Outer Senshi revealed. Plus I really liked some of the music, and the series still has it's humorous parts. Can we stop with the whole small child being warped into an older evil version of themself? Chibi Usa to Dark Lady, and Hotaru and Mistress Nine... that's a bit old.
