Sailor X's Review of Sailor Moon Sailor Stars

Music [ 10/10]: The new opening is a welcome addition to this season and the ending is nice as well. The background music for the Sailor Starlights transformation is a nice touch too.

Plot [10/10]: The first few episodes are dedicated to cleaning up the remnants of Sailor Moon Super S. They seem to be based on "The Snow Queen" which is an old fairy tale. Mamoru gets a shard in his eye like the boy from the fairy tale while Usagi gets absorbed with a magical flower garden just like the girl did in the fairy tale. The Outer Senshi actually get to participate including *gasp* Sailor Saturn gets to do something! After that the season focuses on a new villian. This time the enemy is after Star Seeds. What helps raise this plot above some of the previous plots is that this is not your typical batch of villians. This is Sailor Senshi against Sailor Senshi. Questions of who the Inner and Outer senshi can trust arise when the Sailor Starlights arrive. It becomes much more interesting than the last two seasons. The only part I'd complain about is the ending. The ending seems rushed and laughable.

Characters [10/10]: I loved the new characters including Sailor Galaxia, the Three Lights, and the Sailor Animates. Finally, Chibi Usa is gone. As a bonus, Mamoru is gone too! No more interupting battles for his 'witty' repoirte.

Animation [10/10]: The animation style is of the same quality as the rest of the series. This series has excellent continuity.

Likability [10/10]: Along with season one this is my favorite season of Sailor Moon. The addition of more lovable characters, new fuku designs, and new music all combine to make an excellent season. It still has a nice mix of comedy and action as well.
